Lamar Odom has given up. That much was clear this past Monday night, when Mark Cuban and co. announced that Odom would be put on the inactive list for the Dallas Mavericks for the remainder of the season, including playoffs. Last year, how many teams would’ve killed to have a guy like Lamar Odom on their squad for the playoffs?! Well, the answer is, how many teams are there in the NBA? Now, things are quite different. Odom, after being so used to the Hollywood Life with his famous for being famous wife and the rest of the Kardashians, moving from the entertainment capital of the world to Texas, is a pretty big leap. That combined with the myriad personal issues he’s going through has transformed Lamar Odom, last year’s 6th man of the year and two-time NBA champion, into a lazy self-centered athlete. He practically lives right across from the Mavericks arena, yet shows up to meetings and practices late, and has not put any effort into improving his game or conditioning. It’s simply inexcusable.
